Can Sleep Be Your Secret Weapon?

Too many distractions and busy life, I often find myself awake at 3 am.
But yesterday things were way over the top the clocked was ticking at 4 am. I could see it going like a tsunami destroying every belief and questioning what am I doing?

That made me realize why I am doing all this without any sense without any meaning. Am I killing myself or letting the world kill me?
It’s a painful death when you can see the time slipping in your hands with you knowing it.

These are rare moments when the voice is from inside. I respect this voice; it had made me though tough times. Guided me when I thought there is nothing left inside of me to give and create anymore.

Now I need a plan and things to carry on forward. I know the problem using the phone at night, keeping it with me all night.
I need to switch the habit and let the other pattern take control.

The best habit I can think of replacing it with is reading. It will help me to sleep better and know more about myself when I am offline.
Doing nothing can be better than reading, you go by your day and life in those moments when you are alone. There need to be concrete steps and realistic one that I can follow.

First, I’ll dive right in to why it has become such a big thing in our life.

“It is a common experience that a problem difficult at night is resolved in the morning after the committee of sleep has worked on it.”
John Steinbeck

The sleepless is mostly because of things you avoid doing.
If you have a big project and you don’t care enough to break it into pieces. You are most likely to fall into a pit and try to avoid that task whenever possible. Until that is the only thing left on your plate, or you have to deliver it on the next deadline.

We think sleep as the thing we have to do, we don’t think of it as an opportunity to recharge and be ready for the next day.
An activity to connect with the body to know whats going on in there.
Its the ending of the day, whatever happened is past now. Sleeping reminds you there is always something better for everything you need to give life to be in order.

“Tired minds don’t plan well. Sleep first, plan later.”
Walter Reisch

For naps, take a nap when you have to take them, you are too full of work. If you have been working on for straight hours, then you deserve a nap. Do experiments in various places until you find a balanced one.

I figured out, don’t ever take naps on your sleeping bed, its a nap for a reason. Find a mild, comfortable place a chair or head down on the table. That will prevent you from falling asleep and yet serving the purpose of a nap.

The good thing is we can use the environment around us for the better and after work, you can have some guilt-free space and social media for yourself.

Its easier said than done; we are humans and are not perfect; there will be good and bad days. Treat every day as a lesson new page, then you won’t get hurt with the result. At the end, when you check the book and notes its all lessons.

Life should be dealt with utter care and use the things that are working for you. Life is an experiment when you get to the end of the experiment. What you do, you note down all the reading, procedure, and inference.

What worked for you and what didn’t that way you can pass on the knowledge and let other people have benefited from things as well.

Sleepless is real, and we need to combat it will real tool with real things to have a healthy life. Sleep is the healing process of the body, so it should be taken care of as a sacred ritual.

“Sleep is the best meditation.”
- Dalai Lama
